From thrilling adventures to cultural immersions, our experiences are designed to connect you with the heart and soul of Southern Italy. Whether you’re sailing along the Amalfi Coast, indulging in authentic cuisine, or hiking scenic coastal trails, every experience is crafted to create lasting memories.
This Amalfi Coast tour by ferry is a relaxed way to see Amalfi and Positano in one day. In fact, you don’t need to drive the coast road or deal with buses and parking. First, we pick you up at your hotel on the Sorrento Peninsula and take you to Marina della Lobra in Massa Lubrense, where the boat leaves. Then you see the coastline from the sea, which is the way it was meant to be seen. After that, you have free time in Amalfi and a stop in Positano, and finally we bring you back to your accommodation.
The boat leaves Marina della Lobra, the small harbour of Massa Lubrense, at 9:00. To begin with, you sail past the Punta Campanella Marine Reserve, the tip of the Sorrento Peninsula facing Capri. From there, the boat turns onto the Amalfi Coast and passes Li Galli, the small islands once owned by the dancer Rudolf Nureyev. Shortly before reaching Amalfi, you see Praiano, the Fiordo di Furore, a narrow gorge with a tiny beach at the bottom, and Conca dei Marini.
You arrive in Amalfi around 11:00 and have about three hours on your own. For example, you can climb the steps of the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea and then walk up the main street towards the Valle dei Mulini, where Amalfi’s paper was made for centuries. Afterwards, there is plenty of time for lunch. In addition, if you want a broader plan for the area, read our guide to a day trip exploring the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento.
At 14:00 the boat leaves Amalfi for Positano. In our opinion, arriving by sea gives you the best view of the village: the houses climbing the cliff, the dome of Santa Maria Assunta and the Spiaggia Grande right in front of you. After the stop in Positano, the boat heads back to Massa Lubrense, and from there we take you to your hotel.
